Why do payments sometimes remain pending?

Payments, especially the first time on platforms like Facebook and Google, may remain pending for 1-2 dollars as part of the verification process. This amount will be refunded/settled within 2-3 business days. Pending payments can also occur occasionally, particularly with Google. If a payment is pending, it will settle automatically within a few business days.
